New air service from Canberra to Latrobe...with free transfers to Walhalla.

With less than 12 permanent residents, Walhalla can't really claim to have our own airport, but just down the road we do have access to the great facilities at Latrobe Regional Airport (in fact the airport manager lives in Walhalla...so it's almost our airport!). On 5 September 2005, the Canberra based regional airline, Brindabella Airlines, started services to Latrobe (TGN). Operating one flight a day (Monday to Friday) these flights utilise modern Metro III turbo-prop aircraft that are fast, fully pressurised and very comfortable. The travel time from Canberra to Latrobe is just 50 minutes.

For guests staying at Walhalla's Star Hotel, we offer a free transfer for Brindabella Airlines passengers from Latrobe Airport to Walhalla. The road transfer takes 40 minutes.
