Walhalla Main Road

This view along the Main Road towards the Junction shows the Grand Junction Hotel to the right, the IOOF Hall straight ahead and the Star Hotel tucked behind the willow tree to the left. The Grand Junction has gone (only a fireplace remains) and the IOOF Hall and Star Hotel were reconstructed in 1999. They were destroyed by a fire in 1951. The dry stone wall on the right of the photo remains little changed today as is the stone wall along Stringers Creek in this part of town.
