Christmas Day - 2005 Walhalla's Star Hotel is a wonderful place to spend Christmas Day...excellent food, fine wines and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Christmas lunch is a opportunity to experience a 4 course meal with each couse match to a glass of Gippsland wine. For those who wish to continue the feast into the evening, a casual buffet dinner will be served in the "GreyHorse Cafe"next door to the Star Hotel. A great space to unwind with a beer or wine on the sun-deck. The party begins at 9pm as we count down the last hours of 2005 in a casual, relaxed environment with good company and food...but without the any loud bands or entertainment...it's a very nice way to spend the evening! The cost is only $365 per couple including accommodation, breakfast, a fabulous NYE dinner prepared by our chef Michael Pipek and all beverages. We only have VERY limited space so don't delay. Mid-week is generally pretty quiet so when you stay at the Star you almost have the entire town to yourself...oh, and just up the road we have the snow at Mt St Gwinear. To help you unwind and warm up your spirit we have a special mid-week package which includes; 2 nights accommodation, 3 course dinner in Parker's Restaurant each night, continental buffet breakfast each morning and $20 voucher from the GreyHorse Cafe for lunch. This package is available for any nights except Saturday. The cost is only $499 for two people...that's $249 per person which is excellent value. The hotel's reception is open late on Friday night for check-in so you can drive down to Walhalla after work, get a great night's sleep and start the weekend all fresh on Saturday.
